PUPPY SCHOOL
GROWING CONFIDENT PUPPIES
Our 6-week Puppy School is designed to give your puppy the best start in life — building confidence, good manners, and happy social skills in a safe, supportive environment. Through gentle handling, fun games, and positive reinforcement, we focus on teaching foundational skills like name recognition, basic obedience, loose-leash walking, recall, and calm greetings.
Puppies will also enjoy supervised socialisation, sensory play, and confidence-building activities that help them explore new sounds, textures, and experiences at their own pace. By the end of the course, you and your puppy will celebrate their achievements with a graduation that sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning, trust, and fun together.

Ideal For:
Puppies aged 8–16 weeks ready to learn basic skills and manners
Owners wanting to give their puppy a strong start in confidence and socialisation
Puppies needing gentle exposure to new experiences, sounds, and environments
Families looking for fun, supportive, hands-on training activities
-
We start by building trust between you and your puppy, introducing gentle handling and basic focus exercises. Puppies will explore new sights, sounds, and textures in a safe environment, while owners learn foundational skills like name recognition and crate introduction.
Goal: Establish trust, confidence, and early social skills
-
Puppies begin learning core commands like “Sit” and “Down” while owners are introduced to loose-leash walking techniques. Confidence-building activities with tunnels, textured surfaces, and simple obstacles help pups explore safely and build focus.
Goal: Introduce obedience skills and encourage calm engagement
-
Puppies practise “Leave It,” “Wait,” and calm greetings to manage impulses around people, dogs, and doors. Exposure to mild distractions helps puppies remain focused while owners learn to reinforce positive behaviour.
Goal: Improve self-control and polite interactions
-
Puppies are introduced to recall (“Come”) and “Stay” exercises, gradually increasing duration and distance. Gentle play and bite inhibition exercises are included, as well as exposure to small distractions to encourage focus.
Goal: Strengthen reliability and attention
-
Puppies practice safe play, learn interruption cues, and encounter new sounds and objects to boost confidence. Basic problem-solving activities encourage curiosity and independence while owners learn to guide their puppy through challenges.
Goal: Develop resilience, curiosity, and safe social behaviour
-
We celebrate each puppy’s progress with fun recall and obedience challenges. Owners and puppies review all skills learned throughout the course. Every puppy receives a graduation certificate and plenty of praise for their achievements.
